When was the most recent time you took a shower? Not that kind of bath, but a sound-bath. You should explore sound healing if you are looking for ways to relax. Why not begin now?
Sound baths are designed to bring harmony into your life by clearing out the cobwebs in your energy field.
Michelle Rae Sobi RYS is the owner of Edge Yoga School & Arts, located in Naperville Illinois. I met her a few weeks ago.
You know that I had to ask her for Chipur’s contribution, given what she does. It wasn’t too long before I received her “Sound Bath With Guided Meditation”.
Let’s dig in…
We’re ready to get started. After a brief introduction to sound baths, we will move on to Ms. Sobi and her impressive biography.
I’m not sure about you, however, but I saw a bathtub surrounded by speakers.
What exactly is a soundbath?
Sound baths are a form of meditation that involves being bathed by sound waves.
Not just any sound is good enough. The waves produced by these instruments include singing bowls and gongs as well as percussion, chimes rattles tuning forks and the human voice.
It’s not about favorite or popular songs that you can sing or dance to. By clogging up the brain, they defeat the purpose.
Harmonics and vibrations are important to the right sound.
The Experience
In this case, Ms. Sobi facilitates an individual or group experience. The average duration is 15 minutes up to an hour.
You can have a sound bath whenever you want. Many people participate in sound baths weekly, particularly if they are experiencing troublesome thought patterns or stress.
